Uncertain Sceneries

A new series of landscapes collaged freely without imposing the rules of crosspoint. The landscape in our memory is nothing more than an accumulation of fragments of ephemeral images. People may remember the world outside and the world inside by linking the outside world and the inside world, comparing vague and uncertain mental landscapes like a parallel world to their eyes.

crosspointのルールを課さず自由にコラージュされた新しいランドスケープシリーズ。確かに覚えているはずの記憶の中の景色は、儚いイメージの断片の蓄積でしかありません。ひとはパラレルワールドのようなあやふやで不確かな心象風景を目と照らし合わせながら、外の世界と内の世界を結びつけて記憶しているのかもしれません。

crosspoint

At first glance,what seems like a typical scenic photograph,upon closer examination,is actually a completely differerent scenic view history of two regions, a new landscape is created. This is the ‘crosspoint’ series. This picture is composited from two landscape photos of different cities into a single piece. Two Place are Japan and another nation. It doesn’t do excessive act of adding another element or erasing inconvenient things.

一見するとありふれた景色の写真のように見えますが、つぶさに観察すると実際には2つの全く異なる風景の組み合わせであり、そこには新しい情景が醸し出されています。 これが「クロスポイント」シリーズです。これらの写真は異なる2つの都市の風景写真から合成され一枚の作品になります。 2つの場所は作者の母国である日本と、他の国のそれとよく似た場所です。他の要素を追加したり不便なものを消去したりするという過度の行為は一切加えておりません。

Phantoms

The transformation of the urban landscape is unstoppable. Build and Destroy. The building that was there yesterday is now a vacant lot, revealing a previously unseen side of the building, but this is short-lived, and a new landscape appears with the next building. Whereas crosspoint combines two different locations, Phantoms combines two different points of time in the same place.

都市の景観の変化は日々留まることがありません。ビルドアンドデストロイ。その場所に昨日まであった建物が気づけば更地となり、今まで見えなかった建物の向こう側が露わになりますがそれもつかの間、次の建物によってまた新しい風景が現れます。そんな街角の儚い景観の移ろいを2重露光に似た表現で見せるのがこのPhantomsです。crosspointが違う場所２点を合わせていたのに対し、Phantomsは同じ場所の違う時間2点を合わせています。
